The Post-NAC/NAP Midwifery programme is designed for registered nurses (RNs) or registered midwives who have completed their initial training (NAC/NAP - Nursing Assistant Certificate/Nursing Assistant Preventive) and seek to upgrade their qualifications to become professional midwives. This programme builds upon the foundational knowledge and skills acquired during the initial nursing or midwifery training, providing advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in antenatal care, intrapartum care, postpartum care, newborn care, and reproductive health. Students will learn advanced techniques in managing normal and complicated pregnancies, deliveries, and postpartum periods. The programme also emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, communication, and ethical decision-making in midwifery practice. Furthermore, it equips students with the knowledge and skills to conduct research, advocate for women's health, and contribute to the improvement of maternal and child health outcomes.
