The Diploma in Registered General Nursing is a comprehensive programme designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide high-quality nursing care to individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan. The programme focuses on the principles of nursing practice, including health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses. Students will learn to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and perform a variety of nursing procedures. Emphasis is placed on ethical and legal considerations in nursing, as well as the importance of teamwork and communication in healthcare settings. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical clinical experience in hospitals, clinics, and community health centers. Graduates will be prepared to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and practice as Registered General Nurses in Ghana.
