The BTech Wood Construction Technology programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed for the sustainable and efficient use of wood in construction. It covers the entire spectrum, from wood science and technology to construction management and design. Students will learn about wood properties, wood preservation techniques, joinery, structural design using wood, and the application of wood in both residential and commercial construction projects. The programme emphasizes sustainable forestry practices, the use of engineered wood products, and innovative wood construction techniques. Graduates will be prepared to manage wood construction projects, design wooden structures, and contribute to the growth of the timber industry in Ghana and beyond.
