The BSc Sustainable Forestry programme is a multidisciplinary degree designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage forests and other natural resources sustainably. The programme integrates ecological, economic, and social considerations to ensure the long-term health and productivity of forest ecosystems while meeting the needs of present and future generations. Students will learn about forest ecology, silviculture, forest management planning, forest economics, wildlife management, watershed management, and the role of forests in mitigating climate change. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning through field exercises, laboratory work, and internships, providing students with practical experience in applying sustainable forestry principles in real-world settings. Furthermore, students will develop a strong understanding of relevant policies, regulations, and ethical considerations related to forest resource management in Ghana and globally.
