The BSc Population and Family Health programme is a multidisciplinary course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to understand and address population dynamics, reproductive health issues, and family well-being within the context of national development in Ghana and beyond. The programme integrates concepts from demography, public health, sociology, economics, and statistics to provide a holistic perspective on population-related challenges and opportunities. Students will learn about population growth, age structure, fertility, mortality, migration, family planning, maternal and child health, adolescent reproductive health, and the social determinants of health. They will also develop skills in data analysis, research methods, programme planning and evaluation, and health communication.
