The BSc Metallurgical Engineering programme is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in the science and engineering principles underlying the production, processing, and application of metals and alloys. It focuses on understanding the relationship between the microstructure of metallic materials and their properties, and how these properties can be tailored for specific engineering applications. Students will learn about extraction techniques, refining processes, alloy design, heat treatment, corrosion resistance, and the mechanical behavior of metals.
