The BSc Human Development Psychology program is an interdisciplinary field that explores the psychological, biological, cognitive, social, and emotional changes that occur throughout the human lifespan, from conception to death. It examines the factors that influence growth, stability, and change in individuals, families, and communities. Students will learn about theories of development, research methods used to study human development, and the application of psychological principles to promote well-being across different ages and stages. Core concepts include understanding developmental milestones, the impact of genetics and environment, cognitive development, social-emotional development, and atypical development. Students will also learn about the cultural and contextual influences on human development within the Ghanaian context and globally.
