The BSc Diagnostic Radiography programme is a comprehensive undergraduate degree designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes necessary to excel as diagnostic radiographers. This programme focuses on the science and art of using various imaging modalities, such as X-rays, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear medicine, to visualize the internal structures of the human body for diagnostic purposes. Students will learn about radiation physics, radiation protection, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and imaging techniques. Emphasis is placed on patient care, image interpretation, and the ethical and legal aspects of radiographic practice. The programme also incorporates aspects of mathematics to provide a solid quantitative foundation for understanding the principles underlying various imaging modalities and for data analysis.
