The BSc Aquaculture and Fisheries Science programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in the sustainable management of aquatic resources. It covers both the biological and technological aspects of aquaculture (fish farming) and fisheries, emphasizing conservation, responsible resource use, and food security. Students will learn about fish biology, aquatic ecosystems, breeding and hatchery management, fish nutrition, disease management, water quality management, and harvesting techniques. The programme equips graduates with the skills to contribute to the growth and sustainability of the aquaculture and fisheries industries in Ghana and beyond.
