The BSc Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in the sustainable management of aquatic resources and the cultivation of aquatic organisms. This interdisciplinary program integrates biological, ecological, and economic principles to address the challenges facing aquatic ecosystems and aquaculture industries in Ghana and globally. Students will learn about fish biology, water quality management, aquaculture production systems, fisheries management, aquatic ecology, and conservation. The program emphasizes hands-on training and practical experience through laboratory work, field trips, and internships, preparing graduates for diverse careers in aquaculture, fisheries, conservation, and related fields.
