The Bachelor of Music (BMus) programme provides students with a comprehensive education in music, encompassing performance, theory, history, and technology. It aims to develop well-rounded musicians capable of excelling in diverse musical settings. Students will explore various genres, including Ghanaian traditional music, Western classical music, jazz, and popular music. The curriculum emphasizes both practical skills (instrumental/vocal proficiency, composition, arranging) and theoretical knowledge (harmony, counterpoint, musicology). Students will learn to analyze music, understand its historical context, and create original works. The programme also includes studies in music technology, equipping students with the skills to record, edit, and produce music using digital tools.
