The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Basic Education (Upper Primary) programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become effective and dedicated teachers in the upper primary school setting (Grades 4-6) in Ghana. The programme focuses on pedagogical principles, subject matter expertise across core subjects, classroom management techniques, and assessment strategies specific to this developmental stage. Students will learn how to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of upper primary learners. They will also develop a strong understanding of the Ghanaian educational system, curriculum, and relevant policies. Emphasis is placed on practical teaching experience through internships and teaching practice.
