The Bachelor of Public Health Nursing programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to promote health, prevent disease, and provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families, and communities within the public health context in Ghana. The program integrates nursing science, public health principles, and community health practices to prepare graduates to address diverse health challenges and improve the well-being of populations. Students will learn about epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion, disease prevention, environmental health, and healthcare management, while also developing strong clinical skills in nursing care. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practice, critical thinking, leadership, and ethical decision-making to produce competent and compassionate public health nurses who can effectively contribute to the healthcare system.
