The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide comprehensive care to women and their newborns during pregnancy, labour, delivery, and the postpartum period. The programme emphasizes evidence-based practice, ethical decision-making, and culturally sensitive care. Students will learn about reproductive health, antenatal care, intrapartum and postpartum management, newborn care, family planning, and health promotion. They will also develop skills in communication, counseling, critical thinking, and leadership. The program aims to produce competent and compassionate midwives who can contribute to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes in Ghana and beyond.
