The BA in Rural Community Development is a multidisciplinary programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities in Ghana and beyond. It focuses on understanding the socio-economic, political, and environmental factors that influence rural development, and on developing strategies for sustainable and equitable growth. Students will learn about community mobilization, project management, policy analysis, and research methods, all within the context of rural settings. The programme emphasizes participatory approaches and the importance of working collaboratively with local communities to achieve meaningful and lasting change. Key concepts include sustainable livelihoods, food security, environmental conservation, social justice, and community empowerment.
