The BA Geography and Urban Studies programme provides a comprehensive understanding of the interactions between humans and their environment, with a particular focus on urban areas. Students will learn about spatial analysis, urban planning, environmental management, and the social, economic, and political processes that shape cities and regions. The programme integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing students for a range of careers in both the public and private sectors. Students will explore topics such as urbanization, sustainable development, geographic information systems (GIS), and the impact of globalization on urban landscapes. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication, enabling graduates to contribute meaningfully to addressing complex urban challenges in Ghana and beyond.
